Solar Eclipse

Strange shaded world Egrets top the trees as audience to the quiet interlude Songbirds rest their voices for a spell to wonder at this oddity The only one in their lifetime
Luminance withheld but for moments Stillness pervades as if sound is shaded too The sky assumes a slightly softer hue of blue As orange gives over to whiteness The moon passes through And the world resumes as before But with a different likeness
