I Am Hemingway

I am Hemingway
In an uncertain way
I enjoy the laughter
And outrageousness beyond what others would appreciate or recognize or even say
Unique people and circumstances intrigue me
I cling to the cracks between the reality of perception
The comprehension of what is apparent
The simplicity of beauty and unique character
I am fascinated by the magic of the human condition
The circumstances that make us individual beings
The reasons that shape who we are
Everyone must survive the preconditioning of how we are born
We strive to be something different, despite our genetic disposition
It is a fate we all must overcome to be the true nature of our essence
We are all lost in the world in which we are cast
It takes focus and toughness and tenacity to move through it all
To be who we want to be
To be true to ourselves
The distillation of every lesson learned, observation, contemplation, evaluation, and repetitive failure is what forms
The best we can be
