Huginn and Muninn

· poetry

Wings whooshed with a whispered will

To break the silence as my mind stood still

The blanket of blankness pulls away

As my gaze is drawn to look their way

A reverie revealed by the ravens route

Of dreams— and a destiny— that remove my doubt

Regret and remorse remain for a moment

Then fade away, the dispersion their bestowment

I breathe renewal and cleanse my mind

And then search for the moment I wish to find

Trying locked doors and peering into spaces

I see old places —faint faces—vague traces

Chills tingle my skin as I find it once more

It is dim and dull and dark like before

I grasp to hold it so I can see

But, suddenly— they snatch it away from me
